Please join us in welcoming Archie & JJ to Barks Without Borders!

Almost 5 years ago, these two tiny souls were orphaned just days after birth. They were bottle-fed around the clock, their foster mom paying for every vet visit out of pocket when their original rescue refused to help. In saving their lives, she found her voice for dogs — and eventually started Barks Without Borders.

But life hasn’t been kind to them lately. The family who promised forever failed them, and Archie and JJ have spent the last year and a half living outside, surviving on the bare minimum.

Now, we’re picking up the pieces for the dogs who started it all. As a bonded pair, these boys will always have each other — and now, they have us.

Archie and JJ will spend the next few weeks decompressing back in the only safe space they’ve ever truly known — Nicole’s house. Once they are settled, to help them heal from their time of neglect, Barks Without Borders is sending them to a trusted board & train program to address any behavioral challenges and set them up for success in their next chapter.

We never wanted to welcome them back under these circumstances, but we’re determined to make it right.
